My son went to Lil Heroes for less than a year. We were on a waiting list at another facility, and Lil Heroes had an immediate opening. The manager who helped us was great. Unfortunately, she was there less than two months once we started. There is a VERY high turnover of workers. We were constantly seeing new employees. A couple of the teachers were kind and helpful, but no one stuck around.

This is definitely a daycare and nothing more. My son went there as a newborn. The babies were pretty much placed on the floor with little interaction. (Other daycares we visited do tummy time with newborns and have learning toys and exercises.)

They did not use the cribs, and in fact, did not have enough cribs for all of the children. One worker apparently could not bother to hold my child to feed him. I went in the room and she had him in a moving seat while she fed him. Turns out she was related to the owner. After we switched, I only wished we had changed daycares sooner.

This place is very unprofessional and rude. Also check the dhs website for citations. No longer does 24/7 and gave a week's notice that they weren't going to do this any longer. My son was sick pretty much the entire time he was there.

WORST PLACE TO EVER PUT A CHILD!! I have a 2 month old and he was in this daycare for not even 2 weeks. They have cameras so I can check on him anytime of the day while I am at work. I checked the cameras a couple hours after he had been there and he was still in his carseat. One of the workers was literally rocking him in his carseat. That right there is child endangerment. There is a reason why they call them carseats. They belong in the car when you are traveling not for all the time purposes. This place is suppose to be run by police officers and not one time did they ever check my mothers ID when she went to pick him up. How do they know who my mother is? So they are just going to give my baby to anyone who comes and asks for him??? Another thing that happened was they are suppose to fill out a daily sheet and they were overfeeding him. They would always feed him an hour after I dropped him off even though I told them numerous times that he eats every 2 to 3 hours. He came home with the wrong blanket and he came home with no blanket one day. They wrote on his pacifier with permanent marker so my baby was pretty much inhaling the fumes of a permanent marker. After me and my mother had both talked to them about fixing all of these issues the same day he came home with a soaked diaper through his clothes and everything. THIS DAYCARE IS NOT WORTH THE $100 A WEEK I WAS PAYING THEM FOR PART TIME CARE. My baby wasnt even there but about 15 hours a week and they treated him this way. Who does that? And why would anyone hire such lazy people to do such an easy job? You change there diapers, feed them, give them love and make sure they get tummy time and back time and everything. I will never EVER recommend this daycare to anyone who asks about it. They say they cater to first responders. Thats funny to me because they know my husband is a police officer yet they still treated our son like this. I am very very unsatisfied with this daycare. I had to deal with a baby having a tummy ache and being up most of the night because they overfed him. My baby is on a very good schedule and they did everything they could to ruin that schedule. Also when I finally talked to the owner Tanya Ward she said she would do everything she could to fix the issues, the next couple days when I would drop my son off everyone looked terrified. HOW IS THAT SUPPOSE TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT THIS PLACE? You people should have just been doing your jobs in the first place!! And also when my husband would go to pick our son up, they would only check his ID he said that there were others just walking past him and getting there kid and they werent checking the IDs. They do shift work there. Not all the daycare workers no who mommy and daddy are and they so they need to be doing 100% ID checks. This place is ran by police officers. What a great job yall are doing... not very secured in my opinion. And the staff there is not very welcoming. They are rude and you can tell they never want to be there. If yall dont want to be there then why are yall working there? If you dont care about taking care of these babies then why do you do it? THIS PLACE NEEDS TO HIRE PEOPLE WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT WORKING WITH BABIES AND KIDS. And they say they do background checks on everyone? I highly doubt that. Never again will my baby ever be at this daycare

My complaint is a contract, advertising, and customer service issueJuly 2014 I went to this daycare and paid $150 deposit, and turned in my application for drop in only, in which when child attend daycare on a drop in bases, and you have to pay $45 for the day. I chose this daycare, bc they are 24 hours, and they are open holidays and inclement weather. That day, I received my door password, oriented to use of time clock, turned in application, medical sheet, and my baby was now enrolled. I informed director at the time, that my baby will only come to daycare when I am working and that she had another caregiver. She informed me that was ok, just give them a advance notice of when my baby needed to come, and they will make sure a worker is there with your baby. She told me all stipulations are the same for drop in as they are for full time. On 12/10/14, I called the daycare and spoke with the apparently new director, and the owner Tanya Ward, to tell them my baby will be coming to daycare on Christmas, and the owner said they are closed, and they don't have a file for me. I informed her I paid the $150 deposit. Owner went on with saying I can't just drop in whenever I want to, your baby has never been here, that is not how drop in works. I informed her that her handbook has no specific stipulations on drop in and I was informed at the time of signing up all is good. Owner stated she has nothing to do with what previous director told me or did with me that is why she is terminated. I said to her that her handbook states they are open 24/7 and holidays. She then stated you won't tell me how to run my business, I will run my business the way I want to! I informed her, that I paid them for my child to come, and you tell me you have no record on file. she proceeded to insult me as to what have I been doing to not bring my child to daycare more regularly. I told her that is of no concern of hers, and she continued to be heated bc I asked about handbook and policy. She then hung up the phone in my face.

After owner hanging up the phone in my face, I then went to the daycare to get a refund. Owner was rude and steady making implications as to why I have not brought my child until now while she is 7 months. After words back and forth, she gave me a refund of the deposit of $150, and she said she is doing it so that we will not have to cross paths again, bc deposits are nonrefundable, but there was no way I was going to let her keep my deposit.
