My relationship with my wife was struggling for many years and we talked about divorce several times during this long difficult period. When my wife brought up the idea of therapy I was skeptical and came up with excuses not to go. My wife however, was persistent and eventually just to get her off my back I gave in. I made it clear that I did not think this will help in anyway, but we went. It's so funny how my perception changed just after our initial visit with Isaac. Isaac talked open and honest with me. He recognized that I was hesitant about this and a "non believer" of therapy. He said to me then and I still remember, “I don't give a crap what you think about therapy, but I do care what you think about your relationship.” For the first time I felt I could talk about my concerns and my issues and Isaac made sure my wife heard and understood them as well. He said that this is a team effort and we both need to work together on getting to the amazing relationship we envisioned. Therapy was a process and it did take a few months, but not only did I learn how to resolve our issues, I learned how to be more in tuned with my wife and truly enjoy our relationship. I have to say we are both much happier now that we ever were even happier than when we were dating. For all of you who are on the fence regarding couples counseling I suggest giving Isaac a call.
