I was looking for a good jiu jitsu school in the area and I decided I would look into this one. I tried out the first day and it seemed ok, so they let me purchase a one month trial without obligating me to sign a 12 month contract. After the first few days I realized I wasn’t too happy there. First of all the monthly tuition is kinda pricey in comparison to other schools, but what bothered me the most was the fact that this school has so many students that it’s like a factory, they treat everyone on bulk basis. It seems as if they purposely don’t give you individual attention because they are trying to encourage you to buy a package of privates which costs a fortune. A few of the students there told me that I shouldn't pay for privates because all those privates, including all the weapons defenses, are featured for free on the youtube account: redbeltjiujitsu. It was kinda disappointing, I trained for almost 20 years and this was the first school I ever encountered that you had to pay extra to learn weapon defenses. But overall the overcrowding and costs was what I couldn’t deal with. Not the school for me I guess!
