Took my 2004 Ford Focus in for major a/c repairs. Not only was Swansons the cheapest from multiple quotes they also included a lifetime warranty. I was very surprised when they called the same day I dropped the car off to tell me it was finished. The a/c now blows very cold and works perfect. I will take all my future auto repairs to Swansons Auto Repair & I Very Highly Recommend them.

I recently went in for an alignment at a major car repair chain and was told that the bushings on my left front lower control arm were bad, and the entire assembly would need to be replaced with a price tag of over $1200. Additionally the right side would be close behind and would need to be replaced soon as well.

I'd done some business with Swanson's in the past so I decided to take it there for a second opinion. Josh, one of Swanson's employees, greeted me and proceeded to treat me like a friend instead of just a paycheck. He looked at my car and told me that just the bushings were bad, and that BOTH sides could be replaced (parts and labor, out the door) for under $400.

He let me drop the car off for the day while I was at work, and even gave me his personal cell number so I could pick the car up after hours since I had to work late.

If you want a mechanic you can trust, I would highly recommend Swansons.

I dropped my car off Tuesday night. At 4:45pm Thursday, 15 minutes before they close, I called about my car. No answer. I finally got my car Friday evening and the air condition was cold.....for a while. It would cycle cold then warm. They had severely cracked the dashboard, including around the vents. When I called back I was told the dash was brittle. I had to take it to another shop and they said Swansons missed checking one of the sensors. The coolant was also four ounces low. Later that evening, I left Swansons a message that I was disappointed in my experience. I did not ask for anything at all. When I spoke to Ron again, he asked, "How is this my fault?" There was no concern that they fixed only part of the problem and had damaged my dash beyond repair. He was bothered that I had left him a message. This is a poor shop that does shoddy work. They ruined my dashboard and could care less. I realized how poor my decision to take my car there was after going to a professional shop.

Ron is a great guy and an excellent mechanic, honest and very reasonable. Willing to work within your budget...

Searched high and low for an excellent mechanic in North Port. Found him at Swanson's Auto Repair. Performed professional fuel system cleaning, spark plug replacement, MAF sensor replacement - a tune up on my Beetle.

When other's told me that my engine was dying and wanted to replace the whole thing, I did some research and suspected it was just a faulty sensor. Stumbled upon Ron Swanson in the online yellow pages - researched his shop - turns out he is not just an innovative mechanic, but has a lot of talent and skill.
