After leaving 6 pair of drapes at Dexter Cleaners for cleaning and alterations, I waited over a month to get them back. 3 pair of drapes are velvet, and 3 pair are satin.

When I picked up my drapes and hung them, I found they were cut 4 inches too short and the corner hems were not sewn properly. These drapes cost me over $1000 dollars.



I called the owner and asked him to come to my house to see them hung. When he saw them he offered to have his tailor repair the corners on the velvet drapes. I declined, as velvet shows all markings.



I agreed to accept only a refund for the cleaning and tailoring instead of the cost for all the drapes. He also agreed to pay me that amount.



After a few weeks, my husband called the owner. reminded him of refund he agreed on. The owner told him he would only refund the cost of tailoring, not the cleaning. He broke the agreement. I can see that Dexter Cleaners doesn't have the integrity to make good on damages they cause. A court of law will decide.
