Dont take my word for it, moniter the medical examiner's press release page, this hospital has an alarming number of deaths occuring at it.
Don't let your loved ones become their victims! First hand experience in this! my daughter went in with a "tummy ache" sent home with pain meds instead of treating her! She DIED less than 24 hours later from organ failure which could have been prevented if they had treated her for pancreatitis! Catscan showed enlarged and enflamed organ prior to release. NO INSURANCE= WE DONt CARE IF YOU DIE BECAUSE WE ARE AFRAID WE WON'T gEt PAID!!!.

If you are in this hospital, and you value your life in the smallest amount, you will GET OUT NOW. My sister just passed away in that hospital. She had open heart surgery. They put a pace maker on her to help her heart after hours of having it on they said her organs were shutting down and wanted to pull the plug. I was driving from Tulsa when this was happening. Then they found out the pacemaker wasn't even working. Just as I came into her room they said we had to wait in the lobby that they were bringing her to the room. They also done an exploratory surgery to check her kidneys, more pain, more suffering, the doctor came in the lobby talked to all of us and explained how everything depended on the next 24-48 hours, which was good news right, he said he would send in the surgeon that was called for a second opinion, in about two minutes he was there talking to us about the surgery and how she didn't make it through the surgery. Just like talking about an old car. Wasn't anything to him. They brought her back to her room but she was gone. I forgot to mention they wouldn't do the surgery until they pulled her teeth and she had been on blood thinners it bruised her face from her nose to the bottom of her throat, the dentist was through the hospital and was rough as hell and very mean. Good luck to you and may God watch over you if you stay in this hospital

This hospital is the worst I have ever seen in my life, my husband in Marines us travelling everywhere. I fell on a patch of ice this last winter storm, and was rushed to ER. They left me bruised and bleeding in the lobby and did not give me an x-ray until two hours later. They pushed my wheelchair in a room and discharged me not even looking at my sight of injury. They SUCK

After going in and spending every second with my fiancé during his amputation surgery I am telling everyone I know that, "even if I am dying on the sidewalk leading to this hospital please take me somewhere else!" I think this hospital has forgotten about HIPPA laws because from the ER to our 7 days of admition, they would leave doors and curtains open. Even as I type they are doing a minor surgical procedure in his room with the door wide open. Doctors claimed that they would put orders in while nurses claimed orders didn't exist. My fiancé waited 24 hours after his surgery to get a pain pump that was promised to him during post op. We waited 2 days to get a pic line that he needed to get discharged. He never received a chest xray the doctor had said he'd ordered. He was diagnosed with a severely contagious infection and all personnel was supposed to wear special protective gear and was their hands when entering and leaving his room. NEVER HAPPENED. so basically all the nurses and assistants could have been potentially infecting other patients in their care on his floor. The social worker actually lied about a specialist bringing the building to cover their own incompetence. I could go on and on. Don't let me forget to mention that in October they released my mother after her stay with cardiac issues. The very next day she collapsed and past away a day later from cardiac arrest. Im only giving one star because there were a few nurses that were actually a pleasure and deserve a more positive work environment.

er is a joke!!!

Was in the er for a neck injury. X-ray tech was very rude to me and he was lucky I was in pain and didn't snap at him. The nurse I had I only was once when I got there. Three hours later I had to hunt her down to figure out what was going on. A hour later she came back. I'll be going to Alliance from now on.

Being a young female who had a...

Being a young female who had already had one c-section go perfect never did I imagine what was about to happen. I had a repeat c-section and was discharged 48hrs later everything was looking good other than a little swelling to my lower abdomen and bladder discomfort. Which were both different than my first delivery. After 6 days of being home I splinted my abdomen and sneezed then the left side of my incision came open a half inch. I called the on call doctor and I was told just to cover it because of all the drainage and if it got worse to go to the hospital (North Hills Hospital). The next day tissue came out of the already open incision. I then went to the emergency room at North Hills Hospital where the PA Jaime just pushed it back in and said all was fine. Dr. Roper then agreed all was fine. No tests were to be done not a stitch to be placed, nothing. My discharge instructions stated to follow up with Dr. Snead in two days. Less than 48 hrs later at 300 a.m. I splinted my abdomen again and sneezed. I was alone with my now 9 day old infant. My incision came completely open and my intestines were in my arms. With both arms full of intestines I had to walk across the house and climb a flight of stares to wake my husband. To then walk down the stares and call 911. I was then rushed to Harris Fort Worth by ambulance for an emergency surgery. Dr. Elliot was the surgeon who repaired what went terribly wrong with staples, sutures, and a jp drain. I was told before the surgery I could lose my uterus, have to get a colostomy, or worse. After surgery I was told my uterus had came open and that is what caused everything else to happen. After another week hospital stay I was discharged home. Only to have to drive the 45minute drive twice back to Fort Worth to have my sutures and drain the staples removed. What was supposed something happy and celebrated turned into a nightmare. I now have thousands of dollars in unplanned medical expenses, money spent on airfare so people could come help me, unpaid time off from my husbands job so he could be with me, gas daily to come see me, and most important time away from my children. While I was in the hospital my infants cord fell off and she began to hold her head up alone. My toddler was terrified to touch me. This could of all been prevented if when I was in the hospital postpartum and sneezed the nurses would have done something when I said I felts like the sutures on the inside came open. Prevented if North Hills ED would and Dr. Roper would have done something. Prevented if Dr. Snead would have called to check after I spoke with his on call. I was not obese, a smoker, diabetic, or anything that would have created a likely hood of this happening to me. Every nurse I spoke to said this should have never happened, myself a nurse I also knew this should have never happened. I no longer see Dr. Jonathan Snead.

In July, My mom went to the ER for a rapid heart rate and was treated well. On August 30th, she went in to the hospital for an X-ray of her foot and was mistreated by a female X-ray tech. she was impatient and rough and tried to get Mom to flatten her lower back on the table, which was not possible and very painful. Mom also came home with a thumbprint shaped bruise on her ankle. we complained to the head of radiology who said he had not had any complaints about the tech before. I will get her name and find out who to send a letter to now.

totally believe this pt, same just two years later :-(

My daughter in law gave birth last night to a beautiful lil girl, but we had one nurse that was HORRIBLE...caused her more stress while she was experiencing pre-eclampsia issues/high blood pressure....threatened to kick her husband out because she had called me to come back in for a minute and they only wanted one in the room at a time...so for punishment she said he needed to go as well...he obviously refused and as she was crying and begging for her not to do this she continued to argue with her.....I got involed and the director of nurses came out and calmed down the situation and apologized for the nurse, but by then everyone was so upset.....it truly tainted the wonderful experience she should've had. Then this morning she called me upset that they refused to let the baby room in with her and her husband because they have a policy that while your asleep the baby can't stay?????....I have never heard of such a thing, but I told her to calm down that she won't be there much longer and soon will be home and to just call down to the nursery and tell them that she'd now like her baby.....they told her that they were in the middle of a report in the nursery and it would be awhile?????.....they're very frustrated new parents and I just have really ill feelings about this hosptial....I had four children of my own and have never experienced anything like this...I would say do not have your child at NORTH HILLS HOSPITAL if you can help it.....I will also say that a friend of mine delivered there two years ago and said it was wonderful without any problems.....and some of this could happen going to any hospital....it only takes one nurse having a bad day or on a power trip to ruin everyone's experience....good luck whatever the case may be.....after reading this pt's post though, I sure don't want my son and daughter in law to make too big of a fuss....might end up having tests down and CPS called.....just horrible :-( Praying for a better experience for the remainder of their stay.

Abused by a Nurse During Labor

I was abused by a nurse during labor while at this hospital. When I complained and made a threat to sue the hospital, they filed a Child Protective Services complaint against me and forced me into a psychiatric evaluation at a psychiatric hospital only 2 days after a c-section that caused me to be separated from my newborn child for 3 days. In the end, the doctor did not find me to have a psychiatric condition, did not want to see me anymore, and did not want to put me on any mood disorder medications. In other words, there was nothing wrong with me other than I was angry and abused and made a threat to sue! Even CPS dropped the case against me after I was cleared by the doctor. Of course, I had to retain an attorney during all of this and that cost me even more money - and I'm still planning to spend more on the attorney because this hospital completely robbed me of an experience with my newborn and put me threw unnecessary treatment - all because, I believe, they were afraid they were going to get sued over a bad staff member.
