I have 19 Windows that have to be replaced due to Brocken seals in the first 6 years of new construction. Called PGT service and got sorry, if you live on the water in fl. You get high failure. I have a home on the beach for 34 years with 4 times the glass and one failure of different manufacture.

This home is in back waters of Palm city on a creek. I thought that to be a insult reason!

It has cost me thousands so far to glass in the glass they replace with warranty and suspect they will all fail within a short time.

Think it is fair to say this massive failure is due to manufacture flaw and you can call customer service to get insulted.

Good Product. Horrible place to work. Things started off great working for this company until I noticed other employees not doing their job and not practicing proper safety (which effects me doing my job). I did as i was asked and talked with the Group Leader about the situation. Group Leader instead of handling it turned on me and very unprofessionally yelled and attacked me for what I told him. Using the "Open Door Policy" i asked to speak with one of the Team Leaders and as i was expressing my feelings on the matter and how i felt attacked on the issue, roughly 5 minutes later the Group Leader approached and begin to yell again. That was enough for me and when the Group leader very rudely give me an ultimatum. i chose to end my employment with this company. which was hard & confusing considering the issue. Not even 24 hrs prior i was told by 3 out of 4 of the leaders that i was a extremely hard worker and quote form the Group Leaders mouth "One of his best decisions for hire" Working for this company in the time that i did i noticed a lot. PGT tells their new hires they are a family company. If you have a problem they are there to listen. Their employees are important to them. Untrue. The only good quality PGT has to offer is their pay rate and after working there that won't even seem like its worth the BS that goes on there. Anyone looking to Apply at this company please read all reviews first. DO NOT BUY PGT WINDOWS OR YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!!

I recently had $18,000 in PGT windows installed in my Condo on the east coast of Florida. They are Hurricane windows and are supposed to be the top of the line in safety and quality. As a matter of fact they are called PremierVue. This is ironic because during installation it became obvious immediately that several of the windows were distorted and viewing was like looking through a magnifying glass. The company that did the installation agreed that there was distortion and contacted PGT who said that they would come out to see for themselves.

TWO visits from a total of 3 PGT management personnel resulted in them telling me that PremierVue windows have what they call Roller Waves which is an industry term for distortion. They don't like you to use the term distortion.

They went on to say that if they made 100 windows to replace the ones with the distortion that all of them would probably have same roller wave issue. The PGT reps also stated that if you look through the windows straight on that there is no problem. It's only when you look through them on an angle. This is not only false since at least one small window is distorted from any viewing angle, but it is also absurd. PGT refused to do anything except to replace one of the smaller windows. PGT’s representatives had no interest in the situation. One of them agreed upon first site that a number of the windows had issues while his counterpart said initially that he saw no problem. It was like they were bored with having to even view the site. PGT displayed absolutely no professionalism whatsoever.

PGT’s ultimate conclusion was that the salesperson from the company that sold the job should have told me that their windows were hopelessly distorted.

It is amazing to me that in today’s world a company like PGT Industries can get away with such an inferior product, have such a “couldn’t care less” attitude and still stay in business. I was taken for $18k and I will do my best to see that no other consumer or Senior Citizen loses money due to this company. This is the first on many postings I have planned to warn the public. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions before you waste your money.



By the way, PGT is a PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANY!
