Sand Creek Elementary, established in 2000, is an educational institution that serves more than 475 students in kindergarten through grade six. As a part of Jennings County Schools, it adheres to districtwide initiatives, the Center of Leadership and School Reform and Phil Schechty's Working on the Work philosophy. The school offers classes in physical education and music, as well as maintains archery, math bowl and spell bowl teams. It organizes spring carnivals and focuses on the development of self-esteem, responsibility and self-belief skills. Additionally, Sand Creek Elementary provides class, group and individual counseling services. Jennings County Schools governs elementary, middle and high schools.
