I NO LONGER depend on Mike at Avalon for business trips/airport drop off and pick up. The last time he was a no show for an early pickup and I missed my flight.

I can tell you I was in a terrible fix with a new boss who didn't believe I couldn't get to Dallas on the same day or next for a presentation ( April vacation week)! Even though the airline and Travel agent tried to help it was impossible. The new boss was flexing his authority and made it so uncomfortable that I cannot use Avalon ever again.

NOT DEPENDABLE.

Last night I rented a limo for my sisters 30th birthday to MGM Grand Casino in CT. I just wanted to thank Avalon trans. for making it a great evening and a wonderful experience! The limo arrived early, the chaffeur was extemely polite and professional. We enjoyed the complimentary champagne and it was a very smooth ride to the casino. Thanks again for the great service, I will be using Avalon trans. in the future for family trips.

I am extremely surprised by the two negative reviews placed about this company. I have been using them for many years and have never, ever, had any problems. The owner, Mike, is always accessible, friendly and very professional. I have had several drivers and all of them have been courteous, warm and extremely professional also. The vehicles are immaculate and always in perfect condition. I have used them for airport trips, cruise trips, Foxwoods trips and my sister's wedding. The prices are the most reasonable in the area and you get your monies worth without a doubt. Please do not let the negative reviews influence your decision to use this company, they are not an accurate assessment of the quality of service you will receive. Thanks Avalon for years of excellent service!

I would absolutely not recommend this company. I used this company yesterday to go to Country Fest. They did give us a "deal" of $70 per hour, the owner said that the original is $90 an hour.. who knows how true that is because the owner himself does not seem all that reliable. By the judgement of the quality of the bus and the service it should've been $50 an hour. The owner is extremely hard to get in touch with and does not return any of your calls. Do not give him your credit card # until the day of because he took mine down about 12 times so god only knows what he did with it. As soon as I read the review below mine I called the owner, and asked him about a cleaning fee and an additional fee for any stops we'd make. He said there would only be a cleaning fee if someone threw up or trashed the bus and there wasn't an additional fee for making other stops. When the driver arrived at my house he got out of the bus and just stood there, isn't he supposed to be friendly and figure out who exactly is organizing this thing? So after I approached him and everyone shook his hand he was extremely aggressive, trying to get us to park in another lot after we told him a bunch of times we didn't care about cops, we didn't care how much it was, we wanted to park where all the other buses were parking. Again, after reading the post below me I was ready for anything. The only male of the group was the first one to walk on the bus and found a razor sitting on our drivers jacket with what could've possibly been powder on it.. my friend said "you might want to put that away" Everyone knew he was messed up, razor or not. This is absolutely no way to run a company the whole point of spending $1,200 on a bus is for a safe ride there and a safe ride home. The bus was clean but they need a new door, the thing is being held together by electrical tape. When we were driving home it was pouring out and the driver had his wind shield wipers on the slowest speed. The only reason why I gave this company more than one star is because any time we needed to use the bathroom he would open the doors for us to go run into a Subway, Honey Dew, etc. Spend your money on a higher quality, better serviced limousine company.

This was the worst experience I could have possibly had with a limo company. I used Avalon Transportation for my 21st birthday, and rented a party bus. When the driver showed up, he was clearly under the influence- asking my friends for cigarettes and lighters and then dropping them all over the ground/slurring his words/stumbling/etc. Against my better judgement, everyone still got on the bus. It was then that the driver informed me that for each stop we had to take, it would be an extra $10, on top of the already paid $1000 (bus charges plus 20% tip). We agreed to this and took off. The entire time driving to Boston the driver was asking us for directions, although he had a GPS in front of him with the address. He was swerving all over the road, driving in the breakdown lane, etc. When we finally got to Boston, he dropped us off at the bar, we went in, had our time and then came back on. It was then that the driver decided to inform us that we owed him another $200 due to a "cleaning fee". This is something that I was never informed of and as we started to disagree with us he informed us that he would leave us in Boston if we didn't pay, and he would charge my credit card as well when he got back. As we argued and told him we already paid him the agreed amount he asked us to pass around a hat and "collect what we could." After many minutes of refusing this he decided to just drive us home. After we told him that we would be informing his boss of what had done he started yelling at us telling us nothing would happen because the boss was his father. Apparently he was correct because it is now Tuesday and I have called that company at least once everyday since then, getting nothing in response. Thank you Avalon Transportation for making me cry on my 21st birthday and ruining the end of what would have been an awesome night. I would NEVER reccoment this company!!!!

I recently used this bus for a bachelorette party in Boston and it was great... I am using it again for the New Kids Concert ....Service was awesome and the bus was clean and definitely holds 22 people Worth it....
