I love that Gates will take you to work if you drop your car off or they will come pick your car up and drop it off so everything can be done while you are working! :)

I have been going to gates since I was able to drive, went to a different place 6 years ago and found out why I love Gates so much..... Great service and great people.Always make you feel like your the most important person in the room...I love my Nissan Rouge. Thank you gates for making it a easy buy :)

I have only purchased one car from Gates, but found them to be honest and upfront in the negotiation process, and very efficient in processing the paperwork at the close. I have only had warranty work and LOF maintenance so far, and have been pleased with their performance and professionalism there as well. I would definitely buy from them again.

Me and several family members have purchased cars form Gates. The service is always great! If you need proof, just drive around Eastern CT and see how many cars are on the road with "Gates" stickers. Nothing speaks to here quality more than the number of people who buy from them.

I have purchased 3 vehicles from the Gates dealerships. 2 from Gates and 1 from Premier. 0 complaints Last January we bought a 2013 GMC 3500 HD from Gates that happened to be Denny's demo. We got a great deal. The service dept. is always spot on. I'm sure my next vehicle will be from Gates as well.

We purchased our 2007 Chevy HHR from Gates, specifically salesman Rick, and have never had a better car buying experience! They are NOT pushy or overbearing as other people have said! We knew what we wanted and how much we could afford a month and they made it a pleasure, yes i said a pleasure, to purchase a vehicle. Rick has checked up on us periodically to make sure we are happy with the vehicle (we are!) and the service (yes yes!). After every service visit they send out a survey because they really do want to know if anything made you unhappy. We have recommended Gates to all of our friends and family, and we recommend them to you as well. Anyone who has something negative to say about Gates must be a misserable person who is impossible to please, so don't pay them any mind. We are a couple in our late 30's if it matters to anyone where this opinion is comming from.

Don't use this dealership!!! I was going to buy a car from here but changed plans. For the past month I've been chasing the salesman, James, and the sales manager trying to get my deposit refunded and all I get is their voice mail. Next stop is filing a police report. AGAIN DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP.

all this place wants is your money!!! i bought a car here for 17k and 4 months later tried to sell it back to them in the same condition that i bought it in and with low mileage gained and they were going to give me only 9k. I thought that was so unfair since I bought it from them and it was only 4 months ago, in the same great condition and great mileage. The boss I talked to lied dead to my face when I asked him if he thought what they were offering me was fair. I tried seeing if I could get a bit more but he would not budge. Let me tell you, this company is so sweet when they want your money but when it comes to selling your car, they become defensive and make up all silly excuses to save money, their money, not yours. Well i gave them a piece of my mind, and walked away with my dignity.

I went to Gates after my wife ...

I went to Gates after my wife found a car online. She wanted to drive the car due to the different body style. My house hold has been mostly pick up trucks and suv's. We were looking at cuv's for the gas situation. Well we drove the vehicle and it looked good. So we started talking price. Well come to find out they take almost anything on trade. So now here is my truck, and I was going to use my Harley in addition. Now I was pumped full of the "Gates” experience stuff and was treated well until it came down to the numbers. I got what I was looking for with the truck, then the number for the bike....No good. So I thought the deal was dead. I was asked to put a deposit down to hold the vehicle since it was a trade and they have a policy to send the vehicle to auction after 60 days. We were at the end of the 60 days so I put $100 cash. Well like I said the numbers were not working out so I asked for my money back. Told me they couldn’t issue the "check" due to it being Saturday. Well I was going to go on Monday to get the money back but again was contacted that the "Computers" were acting up and they could not issue a $100 check. Wait...I gave them cash. Well my cell phone blew up on Tuesday.....they were able to work the numbers for the bike. Now the numbers looked good. Back in the game here. I talk to my wife and she is now getting excited at the prospect of the newer vehicle with two young boys and possibly a third on the way. Wednesday morning I'm at work call Denny and say were on...the deal is a go, and I will get the bike to him that night. The reason why so fast is about a package deal Denny put together for a wholesaler. So now I am on their time line. After much running around and arguments with the wife on how we are going to make this work, I leave work early, pick the bike up with title in my back pocket and ride to Gates. I walk in and Denny meets me with a smile and tells me it's great to see me....then he tells me he has bad news. The vehicle that I had a deposit on and was going back and forth with was sold to another dealership in PA. I was dumfounded. Denny quickly followed up with "I will honor the same deal for another vehicle. That he will have to find one for me and that may take some time. I just told him to get my money. Denny started to back peddle and again I had to tell him to get my money. I was appalled at the integrity of this dealership, there is none. I was told this was a one in a million. This is not my first rodeo here folks and in my experience when they make excesses like that they are just trying to point the finger at anyone but them. I was then told when I got rude.....because I was vary angry, "Well sir you walked out on the deal on Saturday, the deal was over" Now just to review, I walked out never got my money due to poor excesses, then Tuesday, the numbers came in, then Wednesday morning I agreed to the deal, remember they still have my money, then on Wednesday night they sold the car out from under me. So according to Denny, this is my fault? My wife arrives at the dealership expecting to pick me up, It took everything that I could do to keep her from storming the castle to give them a piece of her mind. I will NEVER go back to Gates, I will be attempting to contact Craig Gates the owner about this situation and the dissatisfaction that I have with my experience. Now it's not even about the car, its about the integrity and ethics of how things were done. I was brought up that a man's hand shake was good, I guess in today’s day of greed and money there is no honor amongst men.
