This guy is about as bad as they get. Where do I start? 1) He has hundreds of personal tax returns and confidential paperwork in stacks all over his office. When we inquired as to how he secures our personal information, he shrugged his shoulders and said he doesn't lock anything up and isn't worried about the cleaning people or other non-essential staff or a break-in providing access to SS #'s, employment and bank records. 2) What should have been a 2-hour tax prep at best took 5 hours because Mike has diarreah-the-mouth and talked about himself incessantly for 5 hours instead of working on our return. 3) I sold a stock that had a split and a reverse split. Mike couldn't figure out how to calculate the base price for that stock, and told us he was going to use a stock price from another client who also sold that stock. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The base price is based on the date you purchased it, not on another client's return!!!!



4) Jan. of this year we received a "tax planning sheet" in the mail, without our knowledge, which included our full names, address, employers, 2013 salaries from last year's return, bank and brokerages with dividend/interest paid, home value. We take great precautions to safeguard our personal information, including shredding everything, and this f-wit had the nerve to mail all of our personal information!!!! We KNOW WHAT WE HAD LAST YEAR, IT'S IN OUR TAX RETURN!!!! He has a lot of nerve mailing our SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS!!! Avoid this guy at all costs, he's got no concept of personal confidentiality of his clients and is putting everyone at risk for identity theft.
