All Saints Episcopal Church in Northfield is a warm, welcoming, and active congregation housed in one of the oldest and most beautiful worship spaces in this charming, Midwestern college town, (St. Olaf College and Carleton College). Northfield's history goes back to the early 19th century, and includes a bank that Jesse James and his gang attempted to rob on a fateful summer day back in the 1870's. The attempt was foiled, leading to Jesse's apprehension soon after. The bank is still standing -- now a museum -- and the town continues to celebrate "Jesse James Day" with a lively, summer street fair every year. Plenty of good shopping and sightseeing, all within walking distance from the church. The church itself offers a full worship schedule, including Anglican Morning Prayer on Wednesday, occasionally with Holy Eucharist.
