Provided by YPmobileI was referred by a local physician for my neck and shoulder pain. I had tried everything , and wanted to know about the Dry Needling. When I entered the office for my appointment, it was warm (it felt like 80°) and a little musty. The “Physical Therapist” did range of motion tests and asked a few questions. He said I would benefit from Dry Needling. He said,“It is a little intense in the neck/shoulder area” I said I’d give it a try. So, I went ahead with the appointment.
He had me lie face down on a massage table, rubbed an alcohol swab on both my shoulders.
He proceeded with the first of 4 needles. I assume they went into my skin and trigger points about an inch or so. He poked, around 5 or 6 times per site. I started to get very hot and my breathing was almost hyperventilating. I was unable to move.
I mumbled out, “I am really hot, and I feel dizzy like I’m going to pass out...” As he’s still doing the procedure on the second site.
He says, “That’s the fight or flight syndrome, it can do that.”
That’s the last thing I remember. I lost consciousness until I woke myself by moaning. Then he says he’s finished. He put a hot pack on my already sweaty back. I had a splitting headache and I wanted to throw up.
He went ahead and did the procedure even though I was not conscious for at least 5 minutes!
I was so traumatized.
I wouldn’t recommend this kind of Torture.
I now know what it will be like to die.
