Rude man answered the phone then gave the phone to a woman who was also EXTREMELY rude. I called asking about a cake for the weekend and they said they can't do it and were extremely rude about it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. ever.

I needed a cake for my kids birthday party. I wanted a fun theme that would work for both a boy and girl. I looked in the yellow pages for something near our home, and found the Patisserie Parmentier and a few others. I called on a Monday - the other places didn't even answer the phone. When I called Patisserie Parmentier, a nice man answered the phone and gave me an estimate for the size of the cake I would need and an approximate price. He also said I should order soon, since I needed the cake for the coming Saturday.



I went on my lunch hour to the shop. It was a little hard to find, because it was back behind an old scuba shop and had a dirt road entrace. It doesn't look like much from the outside. But when I went in, the lady that greeted me was very nice and patient, while I looked through several books of cakes they had done. The pictures where AMAZING - very cool and unique. I decided on a pirate theme cake, yellow cake with strawberry filling. They told me I should get a quarter sheet cake for around 25 people. The cake itself would have three layers and fresh strawberries in the filling - they also gave me an estimate of $50.



When I picked up the cake, it looked great, and the price ended up being $45. The cake itself was delicous, very light and not too sweet. It had bluish-white frosting for the ocean, some tropical trees (made out of chocolate), a treasure chest with "sand" (brown sugar) and a pirate ship with skull and cross-bones flag. My kids loved it! Very nice!



I would highly recommend this little known shop, with an excellent baker and cake decorator.
