Located in Novi, Mich., the Novi Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that provides patrol enforcement, crime prevention and reporting, neighborhood watch, identity theft security, and personal and home safety services. It maintains the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), which deals with high-risk and dangerous situations, including barricaded persons, high-risk warrant arrests, explosive devices and heavily armed criminals. The Novi Police Department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the usage of illegal drugs, gang activities and violent behavior.
