Great store. Great people. I have been a customer for years. They have always gone above and beyond my expectations.

Great Service and Knowledgable/Experienced technicians.

I went in to get some 1G DDR2 memory chips for my Dell, which I could not find anywhere else (Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Radio Shack). Not only did Kara say she had some, they were much cheaper than I thought I was going to have to pay. Additionally, she offered to install them for free, and when I said I could do it, she offered some advice about the CL numbers on the memory (clock speed of the memory) that turned out to be true. When I installed the chips, the PC started beeping. Had she not told me what to expect I would not have known what was causing it. Her expertise was most helpful. Now all I have to do is order two more 800Mhz chips to match the others for $25 a piece and my computer will be much faster using 4G of memory instead of just 2G on my old 667Mhz chips. BTW, ignore the guy below who gave the bad rating. I would have hung up on him too, because he was likely acting like a child. Read his review and you will see the Computer room did nothing wrong. Sometimes things can't be fixed. He, apparently, is too much of a child to realize that. Most reputable computer repair shops will charge a $50 bench fee up front to cover labor. It is only fair.

Five years of great service.

Kara, I know nothing is full proof in the ever changing world of platforms and software. I was hesitant some years back when I started bringing my computers to you. About 4 years ago, I let you set up my Lenovo T500 laptop and starting using the free malware software you installed. I have to say, when I bring it in for problems I incurred on myself, on the internet, everything was solved and I'm back to using my laptop. The developers who write these free programs are the best. I'll say it again, I was skeptical about the free virus checkers and such. My job paid for my McAffee and I could see no good reason not to use it. But as time went on, it caused problems with all it's extra free stuff! I like your honesty and your opinion. It's only your opinion from working day in and day out with computers. And lastly, update, update, update.

Terrible and Owner Acts Like a Child

STAY AWAY!!! SCAM ALERT!!! They charged us $50 for ripping apart our computer only to tell us that the computer was broken, and there was nothing they could do. Well, that was helpful! We knew it was broken in the first place, hence the need for taking it to a computer repair place. Also, they fraudulently couched the $50 payment as a deposit to be used against the amount of repairs to be made, never telling us it was only a non-refundable license to steal. Needless to say, no repairs were made, and when asked for a refund, they said, NO REFUNDS! Perfect. In speaking with the owner, Kara, about the unpleasant experience I had, she hung up on me in the middle of the conversation. Think about that. An owner of a business hanging up on customers like a petulant child. It goes without saying, that 1) this is not a reputable business worth patronizing, 2) I will definitely never do business with them again (if you consider a business stealing $50 from you as doing business ), and 3) the owner acts like a child.

Knowledgable and honest.

I've had three computers serviced or diagnosed there, bought one laptop and one power source and had a great experience every time!Three times, I've come out of their store without having paid a dime - once because my the motherboard on my low end desktop was fried and they told me that it would be more expensive to fix than replace and they didn't sell low end computers. Once because they gave me free advice instead of selling me an expensive solution and once because my mother in law wanted a bunch of peripherals to make her netbook more productive on her mission trip to Tanzania and they told me that it was a horrible idea to go to a third world country trying to make a netbook do a laptop's job with piecemeal "solutions".Even when I have paid for something there, it was less than I expected. I would recommend the Computer Room to anyone!
