My grandpa and other family members of mine were doctors, and when I was young, I wanted to be a surgeon. And then of course, you grow up and realize it's not so simple. I tried pretty much everything else and still came back to medicine. I was drawn to the sciences. It's logical, but also has the aspect of interpersonal care. I love working and talking with people. The idea of merging those together, constantly learning and helping other people was a perfect fit for me. The most important skill a primary care doctor needs is communication. Doctors are well trained and educated and need to stay current on guidelines and therapeutic approaches, but making yourself someone patients trust and who they can talk to is the best way to find out what's going on. The main thing I want patients to know is that I really am here for you. It's my job to provide care in a way that applies to your life. That's how I see my job. I want to do the best I can for your health however I can.
