Provided by YP.comThat other post offers a terrible impression. I feel very compelled to say much of the opposite. I love our pastor to death. He has such a huge heart. He does get choked up almost every sermon. It is because he allows himself to be vulnerable and let his deep convictions show. The church is in the works of a big shift in culture. The transition has lead to a shift in attendance, which is growing again.
There is a growing since of deep community here. There is a huge focus and deep convictions to develop real biblical community, where people carry each other's burdens and allow authenticity, the kinds that allows a person to take their mask off and be real. We have Life groups through the week, and the focus is on application of scripture, accountability, and sincere love for each other. Mentor/mentee discipleship is in the works. The body of believers is from every generation and there is great mixing of young energy and mature wisdom. These people are my family.
As one who has been attending church and Bible studies my whole life, leading them too, this church offers something unique: authenticity from the top down. There is a sincere desire that grows every week to see God work through unashamed love for one another. I see very little of the typical church goers self-righteous attitude, and even less of judgement of others. This without condoning sin, which is hard to find. The pastor is solid on his theology but does not make it a point to show that off. He just wants to see Jesus glorified, and the church become what Christ longed for her to become. He sees the church not as an institution, but unique individuals all having different parts in bringing His kingdom. There is something God lead, God initiated happening here. Come and see for yourself. I encourage the one who wrote the other post to come back. Things have changed. God is moving.

Provided by YP.comI used to attend off and on years ago and returned to find that it has severely degraded. The music used to be great when the blond guitar player was leading it, but now it is pretty poor. The new preacher is long-winded and kind of boring (he cries during the sermons - weird). Also, it used to be a full house, but now there is hardly anyone there. It is pretty obvious why when you get there.
