I've been taking my pets here for years and the staff has always been great, with the exception of one person. They genuinely care about animals and the family of the animals.

Rip offs!

Took our Sarah in for dry spot, dead tick. On bk of neck. Left with unneeded antibiotics and 4 cans of useless food. Never gave pills, no cause 4 them and we're not asked about the food. They just rang up total for nearly 70.00 for a simple office visit is all we needed. Vet was hard of seeing and I found that useless w/ her attitude. Didn't pay attention to a word I said.

If you use this vet I suggest dealing directly with John. He was the only one who showed concern 4u

Unfortunatley after our first cat was sick we brought him in on a Saturday after hours, one of the vets met us and was nice and compassionate. Honestly we felt comforted in our choice of vets. We left our cat there to be hospitalized for further evaluation. Unfortunatley Sunday afternoon we received a call that our beloved cat had passed away. We picked up our cat on Monday and paid the bill in full. By Friday the other cats in our house began to show the same symtoms and became sick so we called back the vet's office and spoke to Holly regarding advice on what to do with the other cats as we were not sure if the sickness was even curable. We were told that she would talk to the vet and call us back. At the end of the day we called back and spoke again to Holly and could not believe the attitude and the lack of concern for my cats as she spoke at me. Instead of helping me with my problem, I felt as though I was being treated as a low income person who could not afford the bill.

Don't know about everyone here but.....

December 2011, brought my dog in due to back pain, they seemed to help her out very well. Thank you. At that appoint., I pointed out lump in my dog' s leg. This lady checked lump said not to worry about it. 3 - 4 months later, took my dog in for follow-up appoint. After they performed surgery (spayed, teeth cleaned and nose nares enlarged for easier breathing). Before leaving, I fortunately pointed out lump again, (different lady) with my concerns lump seemed to be getting bigger. This lady appeared very concerned after checking it, said it needed to come out right away, not to bother with biopsy just get it out and then biopsy. She looked for documentation notes from Dec. appt finding nothing even noting the lump. At this point, took my dog elsewhere, biopsy was suggested before surgery, to see how aggressive surgery needed to be (small dog with very little to cut around leg). Biopsy results showed cancer. Lump had grown to where some muscle had to be taken also. The new vet also confirmed my concerns that nasal enlargement surgery performed at North Whidbey appeared to not have improved anything. Due to stress on dog's body, nasal enlargement would have to wait for a long time. I trusted North Whidbey to tell me if something was wrong. After my research, I now know that this breed is prone to cancerous lumps and that any lump should be taken very seriously.
