Very expensive for the amount you get. We are hurricane victims and were staying there until we found a new home. But was kicked out and attacked by the owner in the parking lot infrount of my kids and them cry for false allegations. They are infested with bedbugs and roaches. The kitchen sink and bathtub was stopped up. Bad place and staff all around!

Staff extremely friendly! It's an old motel and was clean. However, the room was terrible because of the cigarette odor. It's really bad. I had to wash our duffle bags and clothing we didn't even wear. We only stayed one night. It's clean but extremely old. Carpet stains and the normal things that come with an old hotel. Also, do not go by the website..it's much different that what's actually there. If you need a get away to the beach and can not get nothing else, it will do. Just be prepared if I put are a non smoker! Bring slippers, carpet was bad. The bathroom was newly done...air conditioning (wall unit) was so loud we could not use it, thank goodness it was not hot yet. There is no ventilation in room...

My wife, daughter, and myself spent two nights here. I was definitely pleased with the customer service and the cleanliness of the room. We were close to the beach. This being our first weekend vacation and trip to Oak Island. I cannot complain about this motel. We are already planning our next one and yes we will be staying at Captain's Cove Motel. We love you guys and we hope to see ya'll toward the middle of August. Thanks again for providing an affordable room and a relaxing 2 days.

Stayed two nights with my daughter who was home from college for the summer. Wanted to take her somewhere quiet and nice. Things I liked: outdoor grills and picnic tables. Rooms had real keys, not cards. Proximity to the beach. The beach itself was beautiful and quiet. I can't say the same for our room. The people next to us had apparently been there for two months and insisted on playing their TV at the highest possible setting ALL NIGHT long. My daughter took it upon herself and politely asked them to turn it down. The man was nice and said he would, did not. My daughter asked again and it turned into an argument when this trashy lady shoved my daughter and I had to step in. Management did come, after the fact and spoke to the people next door and the noise stopped, however they tried to blame the situation on us as we should have called the office first. I travel often and am always looking for new beaches to visit. In my opinion, this was not the way to ensure repeat business.

dirtiest carpet ever

My family has stayed here many many times mostly because they have a nice pool . The carpets are the cheapest indoor outdoor carpets you can buy so it looks like they could change them from time to time. My grand daughter is crawling age and was on that carpet less than 5 seconds and her legs were black .Had a roach crawling on our mini fridge and a pipe making the most annoying noise all night long we checked out after the first night and played less than $10.00 more a night for a much roomier much much cleaner room. Captains cove should be priced much less a night for its very small very old outdated dirty rooms than a new clean place but the rates are just as high my family will never stay here again!!!

Best place to stay with ur family. Nice owners and staff, very glad to have you stay with them. Just like an extended family. Clean pool, picnic tables, outside grills, very socialable guest that stay there. Love this hotel and always stay when we come to the beach. One block from the ocean, putt putt course and ice cream shop right next door. Food Lion around the corner, gift shops and all kinds of fun stuff to do.
