Church of the Epiphany
5450 Churchwood Dr, Oak Park, CA 91377
Episcopal Church of the Epiphany is a Mission Congregation of the Diocese of Los Angeles, The Rt. Rev. J. Jon Bruno, Bishop. Our first meeting was held on the Feast of the Epiphany, January 6, 1980. Since then, the church has grown in numbers and in vitality. You are invited to join us as we grow and as we work to bring God's hope and love into the world.Worship in Episcopal Church is Biblical, in that every Sunday you will hear 2 or 3 Bible lessons and over a three year period, virtually all of the Old and New Testaments. There is no service of worship in Church in which the Bible is not read.Worship in Episcopal Church is Historical in that Christianity's ancient customs are meaningfully preserved and symbolism plays a vital role. Finally Worship in Episcopal Church is Sacramental, in that our Sunday service is centered in Holy Communion, the blessing of bread and wine, the holy food of new and everlasting life through which we are nourished and strengthened by the presence of Christ.Mission of the Church"The Mission of Church is to restore all people to unity with God and with each other in Christ." ( B.C.P.p.855 ). This is what our life and worship are all about.
