Find a different place. If I left my care to Parkway, I would have had surgery I did not need. I would also be in very bad pain. The doctor was very nice at first but did not know anything about my condition. When I mentioned seeing actual experts, I was told he would no longer see me. I asked why, he said because I went to see a different doctor and went to a different ER. I was doctor shopping for my beta blocker... If you think heart pain is no big deal and something you can get used to, then Parkway is the place for you!

Cardiology
Osteopathy (D.O.) Diagnostic Services To see what's going on with your heart, we offer extensive diagnostic services, including stress testing, echocardiography, holter monitoring capability, and a laboratory for blood lipid evaluation. Our diagnostic services combine high-quality technology with traditional techniques to evaluate the function of the heart. One of the tests that we offer is a Transesophageal Echocardiography, or TEE. During this test, the heart is viewed though a flexible probe or transducer placed into the esophagus and/or stomach. Below is a list of the other types of diagnostic and therapeutic services we offer. Diagnostic Services Include: • Echo/Doppler Ultrasound Testing • Cardiac Catheterization – Evaluates the Heart's Blood Vessels & Valves • EKG – Includes the Exercise & Treadmill EKG • Holter Monitoring – Records Heart Action over 24–48 Hours • Vascular Diagnostic Testing • Nuclear Cardiac Imaging Therapeutic Services Include: • Coronary Angioplasty – A Balloon Catheter Is Inserted to Open a Blocked Artery • Insertion of Intracoronary Stents – Keeps Coronary Arteries from Renarrowing • Coronary Atherectomy – Removes Blockages In-Hospital Care All of our cardiologists make rounds daily for hospitalized patients. When you are an adult, full disclosure of your condition is given to you and to others in the family, with your consent. Anticoagulation Clinic ▬ Many heart patients take anticoagulation medication like Coumadin (warfarin), to help prevent stroke, blood clots, and other problems. These "blood thinners" slow the blood's ability to clot. The Parkway Cardiology Anticoagulation Clinic is designed to manage patients taking the anticoagulant, Coumadin, or the generic name, Warfarin or Jantoven. The Anticoagulation Clinic is staffed by a registered nurse and pharmacist who are trained in anticoagulation management. Our nurse’s work closely with the patient's cardiologist to ensure the patient is kept in a safe therapeutic range for their medical condition. The Anticoagulation Clinic nurses provide instructions for Coumadin dosing and testing each time the INR blood test is reviewed. INR Testing ▬ Parkway Cardiology patients may come into the clinic for a finger stick test. This is done by appointment only. The visit takes about 5-10 minutes. Patients receive their test results immediately, and the nurse instructs them on any necessary Coumadin dose adjustments, and when to schedule their next INR test. Patients receive a dosage calendar to follow until their next visit. Patients will have the opportunity to discuss any anticoagulation related issues with the nurse during the appointment. Patients may also have their blood drawn at any other laboratory facility and track their results through Parkway Cardiology Anticoagulation Clinic. This is helpful for many patients who work or patients who travel frequently
