Oakhurst Elementary School, also known as OES, provides learning opportunities for more than 320 students in kindergarten through grade five. Established in 1950, it offers classes in a variety of subjects, such as reading, mathematics, English, math, science and social studies. The school also administers physical education and communication skills programs. Oakhurst Elementary School participates in a range of sports activities, including soccer, baseball, and track and field. It operates a parent-teacher club that encourages parental involvement in children s education. Additionally, the school administers the Gifted And Talented Education (GATE) program. It is a part of the Bass Lake Joint Union Elementary School District, which governs several elementary and intermediate schools. Oakhurst Elementary School is located in Oakhurst, Calif.
