Complaint Description:
poor property management service
We rented one of the houses they managed. We stayed there over 4 years paying rent on time all the 4+ years, except for one month when we simple forgot the date. Called twice in four years for repairs - both times the plumbing. In California plumbing issues are suppose to be fixed within 24 hours. We had to wait over two days with no water, no showers, no toilets, no cleaning dishes because "they could only find expensive plumbers". They took 15 minutes to review the house with us when we moved in but took 1 hour to review the house when we moved out. Wanted to charge us for small cracks in the kitchen counter top that was likely over 20 years old.The house was built in 1991. Large and long water stained crack in the ceiling when we moved in that we pointed out, but they never took care of it, but want to charge us for repairs for wood trim (I guess base board, but have no idea what was wrong with it). They said they had a cleaning company in the house for 15 days. My wife spent 3 days cleaning the house before we left it and I know this is a man's opinion on cleanliness, but I thought it looked good. I don't know how a professional cleaner could spend 15 days cleaning the house, unless maybe if it was a 45 room mansion, and still that would be only 3 rooms per day. And they said they took "over 325 pictures"!!! Is that reasonable?? Or aggressive tactics? The house is a three bedroom house, I guess about 1400 sq. ft. Update 9/27/2105: my friend pretending to be interested in renting the house saw that they repaired the large and long water stained crack in the ceiling. We lived there all that time and had to see that brown mess everyday and when we move out, they finally repair it. And I am only guessing, but if the professional cleaner was in that house 15 days he really should have repaired that mess and I am paying for it as a deduction from my security deposit. Just speculating here.

They owe us our $1,187.50 security deposit back but I know they will never pay it, so no resolution requested?BBB info only.
