Founded in 1978 as an independent, coeducational day school, Grand Lake Montessori was formerly known as Casa dei Bambini. It conducts educational classes for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school has an annual enrollment of more than 150 students. Grand Lake Montessori provides special education programs in Spanish, music, dance and art. It focuses on language enrichment and independence, as well as conducts various indoor activities. The school encourages and offers funds for continuing education. Grand Lake Montessori is comprised of more than 35 faculty and support staff members. It operates an administration department and a business office. The school is located in Oakland, Calif.
