International Contact is an excellent translation services company that provides high quality translation/interpretation while offering outstanding quality and client services. The City of Oakland, CA employed them under a contract awarded from 2001 until 2008. They were capable to accomodate our large volume of work which had a myriad of technical difficulty. I was very impressed that they were able to target basic application forms to complex subject matter documents related to safety, housing, emergency procedures, government processes, etc. all adequately translated and proofread in a matter of hours into Spanish, Chinese and Vietnamese! They conducted simultaneous interpretation in 2-3 languages for many City Council meetings, townhall gatherings and telephonic one-to-one assistance; many a times also providing with necessary translation equipment. In addittion, International Contact developed a unique software to test bilingual proficiency for the City’s Human Resources Department allowing us to validate bilingual employees’second language speaking and writing level proficiencies prior to receiving a bilingual incentive.We always worked with translators who were native speakers of the target language and their work was proof read by a second translator.

I highly recommend this company for their dedication, their commitment, their efficient staff and their willingness to be part of your team. We were able to communicate City services to non-English speakers wonderfully!
