Founded in 1999, The Crucible is a nonprofit educational facility that offers classes in fine and industrial arts. It also serves as a sculpture studio, educational foundry and metal fabrication shop. The educational facility provides classes in blacksmithing, ceramics, jewelry, woodworking, stone work, enameling, welding and textile. The Crucible organizes various events, fundraiser programs and open houses, including The Fire Art Festival and anniversary celebrations.
