Make sure you know the difference between scissors and shears, or expect to be rudely chastised, not to mention charged more than twice the price.



I called and got a price for scissor sharpening, $3.00, and was told if I dropped them off in morning I could pick them up in afternoon, instead I got a call that afternoon saying they would not be able to get to them until the following week, I could pick them up if I wanted, because scissor sharpening is not their business, it is only "something they do on the side", their business is sharpening saws and alike, not scissors, 6 days later I get a call that they were ready. I get there to pick them up and instead of the $3.00 quoted, I was being charged $7.00! Which is substantial considering I took in 9 scissors (I have a sewing factory), when I questioned the amount, the gentleman at the counter called for someone in the back, who came out, and very rudely told me that I knew very well that what I had were not scissors, that they were shears, like I was trying to rip them off! He then proceeded to show me show me his nose hair trimmers and told me those were scissors, and picked up mine and again told me that I knew these were shears, and to be honest, he was holding them in a very threatening manner, so to avoid any altercation, I gave in to the extortion and handed over my cash because they don't take credit cards, extortionist can't accept credit cards, it is a cash only business.
