I was recommend to Tess last October and I couldn't be happier. Tess is the first mechanic I've ever trusted. He has gone above and beyond for me, from a rental/loaner vehicle to towing my BMW to his shop. He has worked on my BMW, Jett TDI and RV.

I can't say enough good things about him and Alex. The reviews I am reading are so far from anything I've experienced with Tess and behavior I can't even imagine on his part.

There are two shops in the one building, so call Tess directly at 625-2445. :)

Took my BMW to them as they claimed to be experts for an issue in the battery, I had replaced the battery myself and could not get the car to start, but I had read online there is something the shop has to do to learn the new battery or something, anyway they kept the car for almost two weeks and then told me they had to take it to the dealer to get it done. I said OK, 2 days later they called me and said it was done, but I owed 1650.00 dollars cash as the dealer had to replace some computers, arrr, well I had no choice but to pay them. I went by the dealer afterwards and requested a copy of the last repair and to my surprise it showed only a charge of 198.00 to learn the battery and nothing else, no computers or parts replaced, well I just got ripped of by these guys so be careful. Time to go to the BAR and file in small claims court.

Not sure where these guys are located, I checked and found 5 different Access Auto's with slightly different names, kinda of scary, but OK. I found the latest listed Access Auto in Oakley on Main St, looks like the same place so I called for an appointment, phone rang for a bit and then was forwarded to a cell phone. A guy answered who I could not understand at all, I am not sure where he was from. I was a little worried about taking my BMW there as they advertise as an American car shop, but heck, they are convenient and posted smogs on the wall. I got there, then noticed 2 shops there in the same building, East Bay Autohaus and Access Auto. It appeared that East Bay Autohaus had all the Mercedes and BMW on their side while Access Auto was empty. I spoke with a man named Tes, he was rude and made me wait for 15 mins as he said he was busy with a technician, yet his shop appeared empty. I almost left, but then he came to me and asked what I needed, I said a smog on my older BMW, he said "sorry we can't smog older cars" then just walked off. Just horrible customer service. I walked out through the office and on the way I spoke with a girl up front that was very nice and polite, she asked if she could help me. I said no thank you, I am here for Tes, she still offered me water and coffee even though she apparently works for East Bay Autohaus not Access Auto. Won't go there again
