To Yemoya7 Thank you, I have been searching for tools for my Obatala and haven't found a botanica in this area. I was wondering if you can suggest a decent online site I found one that has what I need. However, the prices are not quoted in American Dollars. The other doesn't have what I am looking for :/ I found one the latter part of last year was ill and can't find it.

I called this botanica today, so happy that there was finally a botanica in a close proximity to where I live. I usually have to travel all the way to Miami, or shop on the internet, not actually seeing the product before I purchase it. I have been an orisa priestess of Yemoja for 30 years. I lived in Miami for 9 years, the hubub of orisa practices, and I have traveled extensively to the islands, and Nigeria. I simply wanted to purchase a set of implements or "tools", as they are called in our trade, for Oshun. After explaining what I was looking for, I was quoted a price of $49.95 for the set(crown and paddles). In all of my years as a practicing orisa priestess, I have never paid almost $50.00 for oshun implements. I asked if the pieces were handcrafted or if they were extra heavy brass or gold plated or something unusual from the Oshun pieces that you can purchase online or at any botanica for $18-$25. And they responded no, "we just order them." I would say that if this price was indicative of the other items that are carried at this botanica, you will come out cheaper, shopping online and paying for the shipping. I guess I will continue doing that. I think Botanica Fe Y Caridad would get a lot more steady customers like myself if they would make their prices more reasonable.
