Dr. Hansen. and her ARNP, Rebecca Boone have been the most caring, professional, and knowlegable professionals in their field of medicene. I relocated back to Ocala and had several complex conditions that needed to be assessed. They took their time to "LISTEN" to what I had to say. They did not rush me, and they did not seem rushed in their examination. Referals have been made on a timely basis. The office staff is pleasant, and also very knowlegable as to their position and duties. Phone calls,...

Doctor Hanson Is Terrific

The problem here is the office staff.. Never giving her the messages her patients leave for her to get back to them and we all know how important Health Care Is.



I had two what i consider Major Incidents which made me lose faith in the practice



1. I had bloodwork done...Since I have high cholesterol, High Blood Pressure and a Stent now in my heart



After taking the tests, I called to ask about the results. Never got an answer back...







2. I called early in the morning when I woke up with bronchitis. I asked the receptionist if she could fit me in, She said NO. That the earliest appointment would be the following week...I thought that was a pretty lame answer, and since the Doctor doesn't prescribe medications over the phone and have them called into the local Walgreens....I said gee...it's hard to believe that she is so busy that she can't check my throat in like two minutes and write me a script.



The girl again said NO...to go to the ER. Great suggestion, After triage with bronchitis and ambulances bringing people in with MAJOR ILLNESSES. I REALIZED THAT I WOULD BE SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR AT LEAST SIX HOURS.



I drove to one of the walk in clinics...on SR 200 an up to date facility....and I was seen within 20 minutes. The doc there said yup you have a bad case of bronchitis...he gave me a shot their and a RX. He told me when I was close to the end of the ten day supply of medications.to call my family doctor just for a follow up





Calling the office again was another wonderful experience...The doctor was booked for another 10 days, she then had the audacity to tell me since the

EMERGENCY ROOM TREATED ME, I SHOULD GO BACK TO T HEM FOR A FOLLOW UP..



NO WONDER OUR HOSPITALS ARE OVER CROWDED AND THE ER LOOKS LIKE IT A LINE FOR THIINGS REALLY DON''T REQUIRE EMERGENCY MEDICINE..



I haven't been back but just got a bill...for missing an appointment and for not meeting my deductable in 2006. Now that is and up to date accounting system, dont ya think



It is hard to find a good family doctor today. But I just couldn't deal with the staff. Dr. Hansen should look into it...their are plenty of people out of work and I am sure she can find some qualified help.



Sorry fo the long rant, but its sad to see a doctor losing patients because of her office staff and not her wonderful medical care.



I did find a new doctor took the blood tests again, and within two days his nurse called to tell me the complete resultsll
