Awful Awful Awful

9 Months of pregnancy and met DelCharco once! He was at the hospital when I went into labor and didn't even say hello! My child was delivered by Dr. Nagda and if I had to do it all over again with Nagda I would.... DelCharco was cold, uncaring and obviously not in this industry to help women. If I could give 0 (zero) stars, I WOULD!

If there was an option for zero stars, that is what I would give to Associates of Obstetrics and Gynecology PA, the office of doctor M. Del Charco, Jr.



I am a 53 year old female in Florida for a brief visit during family illness. I am one thousand miles from home, with a sudden problem. My last period was two years ago. I have a history of poly cystic ovaries. Three nights ago I began spotting and became concerned.



Associates of Obstetrics & Gynecology, PA; Dr. M. DelCharco, Jr, was recommended to me after my husband, a physician, urged me to have a pap smear and pelvic exam as soon as possible.



I cannot review Dr. Del Charco, Jr., as I was unable to get past his front desk. I was told that I would be treated as a new patient and would have to wait three weeks to be seen. I questioned two women over the phone and was shocked that this office does not see women right away when there is a matter of such importance. Post menopausal bleeding can mean cancer.



My understanding is that Dr. Del Charco, Jr. only sees patients when he is doing surgery or delivering babies, and that his two nurse practioners see patients for all routine exams. I could not get in for an appointment. I was referred to the ER for a pap smear.



I spoke with two women and then was told that I could also speak with the office manager. I thought, (after being transferred the first time ) that I was speaking with a nurse. Why does one office worker transfer a situation of this type to another office worker who then refers you to the officer manager? NOTE: As stated above I was referred by a physician in my home town. Also, I work for a doctor. This is very bad and uncaring medicine in my opinion. A true professional could have helped me find an office that could see me sooner.



Realizing that this was a very poorly run office, I declined speaking with a third non-medical professional and called Ocala Gynecology, where I was met by a kind, and caring office worker who talked with me and fit me into the schedule tomorrow afternoon.



My family member, a patient of M. Del Charco, Jr. tells me she will be changing doctors.



This is obviously a very large practice. They do not need business. EVERYONE waits three weeks to be seen - no matter how serious the situation.
