Thoroughbred Alarm Systems, a Honeywell Security Products Dealer, is locally owned and operated, serving families and businesses in Marion County and beyond since 1988. 

As required by the State of Florida, our company is certified/licensed (EF0000652) and insured.  Our Alarm Technicians are BASA (Burglar Alarm System Agent) certified, FASA (Fire Alarm System Agent) certified, receive continuing education every two years, are fingerprinted, and undergo a background check through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

Our security based offerings include 24-hour Remote Monitoring Service through a UL® Certified Central Station (UL 827, file UUFX.S2629) at a very competitive rate.  We install Commercial Fire Alarm Systems, Commercial & Residential Burglar Alarm Systems, Video Surveillance Systems, and Medical Alerts (Personal Emergency Reporting Systems) allowing persons of all ages with medical conditions or physical challenges to be as independent as they can in their own home.

Unlike many companies, our monitoring agreement has a 1-year term (many companies require a 3-year term), we have no activation fee nor do we charge additional fees to monitor Life Safety or Environmental Sensors.  We do not install proprietary systems (some companies install proprietary systems that will only allow them to remotely monitor, holding customers “hostage”).
