review on boardwalk terrace SAME OWNERS to this one...To start off, when i called Auma and Angelo (the russian woman and guy owners) they told me one price for the ocean front apartment which they offered us for 5 girls, then when they sent me the papers to sign they put a much higher price... so i had to call to fix it. Angelo and auma are very rude people and it's hard to understand what they were saying. When we got there they wouldn't let me talk about what they had offered us over the phone, she ended up charging us more. So she just took our money, a copy of our ID and didn't even show us the place we were going to staying at. No elevator and we were on the third floor. On the stairs there was barf and trash just sitting there. They had offered us an oceanside room view and they gave us the back parking lot view apartment (301). Once we got into the apartment everything was old and it smelled like cigarette smoke. Thank God we brought our own blankets and pillows because those blankets and sheets that were on the beds smelled weird and felt really uncomfortable, they were the typical covers and sheets that you see at motels. They had this old dirty carpet on the floors and we couldn't even open the window in our room. The oven and stove didn't work properly so if you were cooking and stood at the normal distance the knobs would get really hot and the heat that radiated from them would burn you. There are no plates, cups, silverware or pans so we had to buy our own. We thought for the price we paid that those things would be included. The TV signal did not work like they said it did. Old TV and there was no DVD. The bathroom door would not lock. The door to the balcony was very hard to open and close and the screen door was off the frame so we had to fix it every time it would come off. The balcony was really small and the chairs were broken. The thermostat didn't work at times so we were really hot in there. auma or angelo would just come in the apartment whenever they wanted.... and they hire a young person to come check on all the apartments around 1am EVERY NIGHT. The day we left the Russian woman Auma did not want to go check the apartment out with us and told us we would be getting our deposit back no later than 30 days,... last but not least It’s was 3 months since we’ve stayed there and no DEPOIT BACK. I had tried calling the place several times and each time Auma kept telling me to call Angelo but Angelo never answered. When they finally answered it turns out that he decided to not give us our full deposit back of $200.00 because he’s claiming that we had broken the sink.....we asked him for pictures of proof that we had broken the sink and he hung up on us. so we called back and angelo said that he was only going to return $60 to us. we had no other option because he was extremely rude. So we waited for it and the deposit never came. We did not break anything he is making all of this up just to not pay us back. We waited again for the deposit and nothing so I called again and Alma answered and said that she didn't know who we were and that they threw all the old rental agreements away for all rentals.... what business throws away old rental agreements? As a landlord they should have proof of all rentals in case of future problems. They stole our deposit and we are not the only ones they've done this to. How is this place still running? We are one of many bad reviews for their 3 vacation rentals. Sea Sand apartments, Board walk Terrace, and Nock apartments. Don’t stay here.
