She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Seton Hall University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Buffalo. After graduation, she completed a General Practice Residency at the Erie County Medical Center. She established dental clinics at the Niagara Falls Medical Center and at the Tuscarora Indian Reservation in Lewiston, New York.
