Staying in this hotel reminds one of the 1950's or 1960's. Built in 1928,located one block away from the Amtrak,Sprinter,Coaster and Metrolink train station. It is 2 blocks from the beach. You can get an ocean view room if you ask for it. One doesn't hardly need air conditioning in Oceanside,Ca even though this hotel does have air conditioning. Though not the most atractive hotel from the outside, don't let that fool you,because on the inside it's a great place to stay. And the neighborhood is safe. Walking into the lobby of this hotel reminds one of the way hotels were in the 1930's and 1940's and they are continuously fixing a few things up. Freindly staff always. Would go back again and again
