Vani Bhatt, M.D., FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician at Johns Hopkins Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India, and completed her residency training in pediatrics at Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, VA. Dr. Bhatt loves working with children and their families and strives to practice up-to-date evidence-based medicine so that she may consistently provide the highest levels of newborn, infant, child and adolescent care to all her patients. She strongly encourages and guides her patients and their families in fully participating in their own care and well-being. In her clinical practice, she emphasizes wellness and prevention and takes a special interest in prenatal consults, newborns, early childhood and brain development. Dr. Bhatt is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and actively participates in the Academy's activities at the national and state levels, including: Council on Early Childhood, Council on School Health, Council on Environmental Health, Council on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Quality Improvement Innovation Networks, Section on Uniformed Services, and the AAP Maryland Chapter. She also participates in MD Responds, Maryland’s Medical Reserve Corps, and in Epic Systems Corporation’s Physicians Advisory Council for the EpicCare Ambulatory clinical system. Dr. Bhatt is a certified provider for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as well as the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Program of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Heart Association.
