La’Sonia Nick-McGriff, natural hair stylist extradonaire, who continuously “liberates sisters and brothers from the root out”, has been blessed with a God given talent to do amazing things with your natural tresses and custom weaves.

Having never had a relaxer or a perm, La’Sonia brings a world of knowledge about natural hair. She takes pride in her craft and believes that it is her duty to master it to her fullest ability. Based on this, she decided to master “natural” hair and specialize in custom weaves.

Early on, La’Sonia would stand over a stylist shoulder and watch other people having their hair serviced and would go back and practice it on herself or another family member. This allowed her to add her own signature to different styles. That is how she initially learned the technique of braiding with extensions and weaving hair along with pressing and cornrowing.

Later La’Sonia began to work in an all natural salon where she received intense training. This is when women and children really began to start the transition back to their roots. La’Sonia was fortunate enough to take over two years of training under world renown hair stylist Barry Fletcher. This training truly put her on the map and allowed her to become one of the most requested natural hair stylist in the region. In addition, she also occasionally conducts braidin classes at the county parks and recreation centers for Prince george's County.

Every style that is received by La’Sonia will always promote healthy hair and the growth of your hair. She is huge on customer service and always strives to give you exemplary service.
