The History of Gabby’s   …is really the history of Sara in the restaurant business and her love of cooking. When she was about 12 her great aunt Gladys gave her “The New Antoinette Pope School Cookbook” filled with elaborate recipes and a note that wished her good luck with her cooking.   Sara opened her first restaurant here in Florida on Gunn Highway in 2001. It was in a small mall, but was in need of a serious overhaul. Cliff remodeled the place (after gutting it) and it became a successful Breakfast & Lunch Café. After four successful years, Sara sold the business to a persistent buyer, knowing Gabby’s would be built in the business complex Cliff was designing.   A couple of long years in construction and design, the office complex and restaurant were ready to open. (We believe you are sitting in design number: 7,323) …but we’re not certain it changed a lot.) Odessa has been a great choice to locate and Gabby’s has had steady growth.   For Sara and Cliff, Gabby’s is a labor of love, and for that reason they and their great personnel work hard to bring their very best to you.   There are many that still don’t know about Gabby’s, but the hope is that you will spread the word.
