I enquired as to whether they would allow me to pick up a parcel at the Ogdensburg post office. I was told in a very snotty tone that if they allowed Canadians to use the pick up service, they would be flooded with demand. They have a very large building, and it would create extra income for the post office, and extra jobs for the local inhabitants. Both of which I suspect are needed.

It saddens me to write this poor review of my local post office but every time I have had to do any buisness with them out of the ordinary mailing a package they have gone out of there way to be mean. To have a post office box is a luxury not a necessity.If for some reason you need to pay your bill by the six month or yearly rate and you are late doing it they will hold your mail hostage and or return to sender it rather than hand it too you at the window.Yes,they had it right there in there hands and instead of giving it too the person it is addressed to they would send it back they said.This is after the people sending the mail have paid crazy fees to ship this letter to you. I really think it could be crimanal.This is an obstruction and illegal I believe.They wonder why things are backed up and it takes so many people to do the job,well they cause there own problems it seems.Maybe thats what they mean by going postal.By being a little off,by not doing the right thing.I dont know but if someone out there knows if there practice is illeagal,please post back and let us know.As for now I will go and figure out how to get my mail with my money in it so I can pay these people.Maybe the managers could take a class in total quality managment to help them.Its based on doing what you know to be right!!!\
