BEWARE!:
We called and got his rates ($125 an hour including drive time, which we accepted). I reminded him by text of the appointment at his request (because he "had a lot going on") and texted 3 times asking what time he'd arrive. He finally called and said he could come now. Great!
He showed up, used a volt meter to determine our control board was bad, and ordered a new one for us whole we waited (20 minutes total). He charged 3 hours ($375) labor for the drive, the work and then $167.87 for the new part. We told him thanks and that we were leaving in a week and would.prhbably just swap it out ourselves, and even pick it up if needed.
I texted and found out he had it in, so offered to come drive to pick it up. THE DRIVE TO THE ADDRESS HE CHARGED US WAS 45 MINUTES. That means 90 minutes round trip, plus 30 minutes of work should have been 2 hours charged.
I arrived and he said "ohhh" as he recognized me, and I said "you thought I was someone else, didn't you?" He left my board hours away even though he texted me he had it sitting on his front seat.
He quickly said "I'm not paying to overnight it, that's expensive!" I stayed calm and we worked out him shipping it to a stop of our two weeks later. We got it, I swapped it, it works.
I asked after that for a refund of an hour for his mistake. What followed was 10 minutes of texting where he said he shipped us the part at no extra charge (really!) and that none of the situation was his fault.
I can send anyone the screenshots of the text exchanges as proof. Don't use him.
