A loving activity staff encourages a varied calendar of social, religious, cultural and recreational activities. Rehabilitation Services: Our on-staff therapy team consists of occupational, physical and speech therapists whose services are available both in-house and on an outpatient basis. Their goal is to bring every resident back to a full and functional life. Occupational therapy helps the resident regain as much independence as possible in the activities of daily living such as eating, bathing, dressing and homemaking skills. Physical therapy helps regain functional strength and endurance in both upper and lower body muscles and, if necessary, adapt to a permanent disability. Pain is treated through the use of modalities such as: TENS, ultrasound, heat and exercise. Speech therapy enhances communicative, cognitive and swallowing functions through the use of compensatory strategies and therapeutic techniques.

    This place is shockingly inept

    Total confusion from the minute I admitted my Dad, complete lack of respect for him, one hand does not know what the other is doing, extremely poor food, VERY long response times to patient requests. Staff telling jokes about dying elderly in front of patients! I will look into getting this extremely poor facility shut down.

    I wouldn't recamend anyone putting thair loved one here or working here they have no respect for anyone they just work you like a dog and throw you away like you never matterd all they care about is money

    Lack of Response = 0 Stars in my opinion

    As requested, had all the paperwork faxed regarding transferring my mother to Okeechobee Health Care Facility. Within the next 3 months . . .1st phone call: Wanted to know if she was on the waiting list. Person would only answer "We have no beds available." Wanted to know if she met the criteria for acceptance. Person would only answer "We have no beds available."Email: no response2nd phone call: Took name/number, never returned call.3rd phone call: No one answered the phone (this was between 9-5 on a weekday).This company needs to improve its standard of communication if it expects to be entrusted with the care of our loved ones.
