Physical and occupational therapy utilize a wide variety of procedures and modalities to restore function to the body, reduce pain and help prevent future injury. After an initial physical examination and diagnosis by a physician, patients are referred to physical therapy. Most patients come to us with a prescription for physical therapy that was issued by their physician. This prescription, which is similar to what you take to the drugstore for medicine, includes recommendations for treatment. Our staff will verify your insurance and our participation in your specific insurance plan. At the first visit, a patient undergoes an initial evaluation and an individualized treatment program is designed to meet the patient's specific rehabilitative goals. At each subsequent visit, you will work with a member of our clinical team who will instruct and supervise your care.
