I needed a therapeutic massage for a spine and neck injury, I was not able to see the chiropractor I normally go to, I called and they told me they have a great massage person. When I arrived they took me in quickly after they got all of my ins info. I was told I would have the best massage person, ten minutes into the massage I asked how long she had been doing massages, she said she had graduated 2 months earlier. She repeatedly used her elbows on my spine, I told her not do that, then she didnt seem to know what to do. When I left the Dr insisted on talking to me, he asked how I liked the massage, I told him I wouldn't do it again, he said "we will file your ins, but when you get your statement you won't understand what it all means, that's the way have to do it to get paid the right amount" It didn't occur to me what he meant until I got the statement. My insurance was charged for every service or treatment they have, over $300 .00, I filed a complaint and he refunded the overpayment to my ins co.
