The McGee Eye Surgery Center is licensed by the state of Oklahoma and accepted by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. The center has a staff of anesthesiologists, registered nurses and other medical personnel specially trained in surgical and recovery care. Its surgical suites are equipped with sophisticated monitors and highly technical equipment and instrumentation. Located in Oklahoma City, the McGee Eye Surgery Center is a part of the Dean McGee Eye Institute, which is one of the largest ophthalmology institutes in the United States that serves more than 120,000 patients annually. The institute is also home to the Department of Ophthalmology of the University of Oklahoma and conducts training programs for medical students, residents, and clinical and research fellows.
