The Oklahoma City Zoo is a fully accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the American Alliance of Museums as both a living museum and a botanical garden with world-class habitats; a diverse animal collection of 1,900 species; a new, state-of-the-art animal hospital under construction; and a membership base of more than 26,000. The Zoo participates in numerous cooperative Species Survival Plan projects and is dedicated to the conservation of rare and endangered wildlife.
