I spoke with Tom and hired him for Lawn mowing, trim, edging and cleanup. He first quoted the Lawn and charged me double for the first mow because it was over 4 inches. Then he came back after the job and said he under bid and added more to the bid. After the second mow I had 3 feet of grass growing around my fence, shed and swing set. I emailed them to come back and finish and got no repsonse. I called Tom and told him this wasn't we agreed upon and he started whinning about having to weed around the swingset when he didn't weed around anything, failed to mow one third of the backyard, did not edge or cleanup. He wanted more money again and wasn't even doing the basic mowing let alone trimming, edging or cleanup. So I told him I was paying him more than the last two lawn services I used in the previous years and he wasn't evening getting the mowing done, let alone anything else and he hung up on me. Pitfull business ethics and integrity. I was ripped off by this lazy owner with entitlement issues. I do not recommend using Tom he wants your money but doesn't want to earn it.

Had very high hopes at the beginning, only to have them come crashing down. Our neighbor used them and my wife had them give a quick quote for a retaining wall while they were in the neighborhood. We were beyond pleased with the quote, but later, my wife was told, "well, I had a feeling I shot way too low on the price, but I'll honor it."



A couple days later, I called to confirm that the quote included what we wanted. Boy, I've never had someone backpedal so much!!! I could tell quickly that he was trying to find any way possible to get out of that quote! Everything I said was like it was the first time he was hearing it, and I know for a certainty that my wife had already said these same things. He said he'd need to come take a look again and re-quote. That doesn't sound like "honoring the quote" to me!!! He even tried to tell my wife that it was difficult for him to come because he's over 1.5 hours away. He's in Olathe, we're in Overland park...that's no more than 15 minutes!



Of course, he couldn't come at any convenient time. So, we settled on me emailing pictures with an explaination of what we wanted. I sent that well over a month ago, and I haven't heard anything since. Once again, this confirmed that he really wanted out of that quote.



Overall, I wouldn't have even wanted him to do the work for the cheap price! I wouldn't expect it to be of any quality after seeing his way of doing business. I'm a practical person, and would have been willing to work something out due to the mistake in the quote, but never got that chance. I would definitely never recommend working with them. Congratulations Johnson County Lawn; you successfully weasled your way out of a bad quote...
