Company founder, Louis McAnany, started his career in 1952 as a consignee of Phillips 66 products in Johnson County, Kansas. In 1954, he started his own company, McAnany Oil Company, Inc. In 2004, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary in his new modern bulk plant/ offices in Olathe. It took more than the luck of the Irish to ensure McAnany Oils half century of success. Louis vision and work ethic led to the company's unique status of being one of only two Unocal lubricants distributors in Kansas. Later, that same drive for excellence resulted in the company's being named a Conoco Phillips Top Tier Distributor after meeting demanding supplier criteria. Today the company also takes great pride in its 30-year relationship with Sinclair Oil Corporation, the only independent major oil company in America. Steady and consistent growth best describes the company's history.
