The Nassau County Fire Service Academy offers a range of training programs to various fire departments in Nassau County, N.Y. It assists more than 70 fire departments to comply with New York State Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and firefighting standards of the National Fire Protection Association. It provides educational programs in aerial ladder operations, building construction, confined space rescue and firefighting. The academy also offers services in the areas of arson recognition, confined space awareness and fire ground communications. In addition, it provides awareness programs in weapons of mass destruction. The Nassau County Fire Service Academy offers online pump test request forms and pre-test checklists.
