If you are looking for a church where you and your family can grow in Christ than I think this is the church for you. Easy to understand, verse by verse Bible teaching. Upbeat worship music. Choice of four services - Sat night, plus three on Sunday, and a Weds Bible study in addition to Women, Men's and Singles study groups. Awesome Sunday School, Youth, Teen and Y oung adult groups. The least crowded services would be Weds and Saturday night. The night services are also probably the most casual. Eventhough it's a large church with lots of services, the majority of the Sunday services can get somewhat crowded, but regardless of the litle nusiance of parking and the amount of people, we couldn't find a church that could come close. It has so much to offer. A church that respects God's word and does not compromise it for what may be popular in today's world. The congregation is made of individuals who have a desire to know the Lord and aren't just a Sunday morning bench warmer in a pretty suit. Attire ranges from a pretty dress, or a men's polo, to a pair of sweats, or shorts and flip flops. The only time I saw someone wear a tie or suit was a cute grandpa and occassionally on Easter or Christmas if someone wants to dress up. It's a come as you are and grew in the Lord type of feel with people of all ages, races and backgrounds. The pastors are humble, extremely knowledgeable in God's word, and easy to relate to with a true heart for the Lord. They have so many small groups from the Business Man, to men that enjoy Motorcycles, or Pioneer Girls and Boy Scouts that you have a lot of opportunities to get plugged in and meet people to grew in Christ that share your interests. My husband had little, to no desire to attend church. Now it's not only rare that he misses, but is often there two days a week. He now lives for the Lord. Something I often thought was possible for others, but had serious doubts for Him. After lots of church hopping, this church changed the lives of our family and pray that you have the same experience. It has a lot of younger familes with kids that your children can grow with, but it's also great for singles, or older couples who don't have little ones. We really wanted to join a smaller church, but we couldn't find one that compared to Calvary. We went almost two months before we made a decision and it starting feeling like home, but the teaching was unsurpassed. After making friends through the smaller groups, you get the small family church feel when you start recognizing more and more people each week. Wherever you end up, I pray you find a church that teaches the Bible and the whole Bible, not just the feel good stuff, some far out, or new age teaching, a service full of rituals, or a sermon of man's preaching. Be leery of churches that pick verses out and connect them to come up with their own crazy interpretation. We came across a small church that had the message of Salvation and most things correct, but there was some little things that were really far out. I believe they are all saved and pray that it's not intentional, but found it sad that they were so misled by their own interpretation of God's word. There are some wacky churches that you need to Pray for the Lord to guide you and then visit the church awhile and get to truly know their teaching before calling it home. If you are not growing closer to the Lord and are at the same place you were at before you went, something is wrong. The majority of the time you should be leaving feeling fed, closer to the Lord, stired up and knowing the Lord that much more. Call upon Him and He will lead you. Give Calvary a try. I truly think you will not only like it, but that God called us there. God Bless you!
